For some reason the word "perfect" doesn't seem to fit that car. lol

I'd holdout for awhile, save up some more money and find a much nicer starting point. Personally "just needs paint and some bodywork" is alot more expensive then "needs engine work"

yeah im gonna wait a while. sell my truck and use that money to buy a nice looking/running car to put my 350 in. hopefully a 91 or 92 z w/ t tops

The third gen cars are not worth near that except when sold in auto trader (typically 30% higher prices than the real world) or by someone who frequents message boards (for some reason enthusiasts want a ton for cars) when they sell at auctions (one sold at one of the big auctions recently) they go for under $5000 with average prices being about $2000. They are still considered used cars, the second gen cars are just seeing prices go up, so it will be a few more years before the 3rd gens see it

i saw a turd gen for sale for 2600 at a dealer today and i saw the price and laughed and kept driving. that was wayy too much for that car
