hm... well he hasnt had problems in over a year, so far Im not hearing much negative.
I havent paid for them yet. If I have reason to believe that they are a complete waste of money, and you honestly think they wont work, then let me know. I dont want to hear "maybe", or "this might happen".

Typically numerically higher gears are more apt to whine. A lot of 4.11 gears have some whine to them, even when installed properly. You are going to have some wear regardless, two metal parts are rubbing together- these two little pieces of metal are responsible for moving almost 2 tons of metal, you can't expect complete silence.
Paar, for your application, assuming the gears aren't badly worn already, I would think that should be ok. You're not some 500hp guy doing 5K clutch dumps at the track. As long as they are installed properly, I think they should be just fine for you. I obviously can't guarantee it, but what the worse case? They go bad in 6 months and you need new gears. At least now you know if you want to keep the 3.42's or step up to some 3.73's. For the $30 or whatever for them I think it was an ok deal. Now you just need that posi unit..
