Question Possible computer problems?

When I go to start my car it takes sometimes over 3 seconds for it to turn over, sometimes it won't even start and I have to turn the car off and then turn it back on to start the car. If the car has only sat up for a few hours (at the most) it will start right up. Funny thing is when my water pump was changed I took the negative cable off of my battery and for a day or two my car would start up as soon as you would bump the key. Could this be some sort of a computer problem?

doubtfull the starting circuit doesn't go through the computer (except the pass key) maybe that is bad or going see what the voltage drop is when it won't start if it's high the starter is junk
