Rear end swap, new noise

Hey, I put in a new rearend with 3:42's. We did it at a shop. Did everything right, everything is tightened as it should be and I have a really bad thump from the right side. Going over bumps. Alsmost sounds like an exaust rattle, but we didn;t even mess with it. Anyone have this problem? It was a straight swap out, 99 rear with 3:08's to a 00' LSD w/ 3:42's. Axle has 26,000 miles on it. :(

you'd have to get under there and look grab ahold of everything and see if it moves, you should be able to pass your hand between any part of the rear and any exhaust

Yah, we did that. We used a pry bar on everything we could think of to move it around. Nothing. Except in the air, you can make the spring rattle where it sits on the top of the axle.

the spring should have no play in it if it's in correctly, check teh brake parts also

As far as I know, we checked everything. I just don't get it. As far as the spring, It moved just enough to get it to make a noise on that round base it sits on. But that was with the axle hanging when it was on the lift.
