Removing Fog Lights For Fresh Air...
Just brainstorming here, but is there anything nifty I can do with the fog lights? Such as another place for air to come in and cool the engine (not into the intake, I already have CAI), or as an air brake cooler? Someday after I'm done with my 70, I can make this car road race capable, where the brake cooler would come in hand.
After making this thread on another forum, I later saw an episode of Muscle Car where they took the turn signals out of an el camino and did this very thing, directing air on both sides straight into K&N filters (daul CAI set-up). I would only do a single set up, the other whole would just be general fresh air cooling.
If it is blocked, will it do any harm to cut some holes? I have access to many tools, such as a plasma cutter.

Well, a plasma cutter will be useless here. Its all plastic parts. And that would be some long twisted hosing to make it from the fog lights to the brakes, if you can make it work well, and look decent, i'd say go for it.

some people ahve made custom CAI that runs a plastic intake tube from the fog light area to the air intake to make a ram air...i found it online one time...

There are also people that have cut ducts into the side of the front bumper and run them to the brakes that way.

I may go an easier route and do what the Camaro Police cars do and drill little holes under the front turn signals.
I'll have to put it up on the lift to see how hard it is to go through the lights, it appears so far that I'd have to take the bumper off to take them out, according to the factory manual, and that would be difficult for a daily driver, perhaps on a weekend, though. Or I could just crudely rip/cut them out, but even then theres no telling how much cutting I will have to do behind the lamps, possibly the superhard bumper support.
EDIT, nvm, just got them out, but still have to put it on the lift tomorrow to get a good look.

I just hope I can make it work, the air filter is not a straight shot from the fog light opening. On the passenger side, I could care less, just fresh air into the engine. I'll just open up that box under there near the air dam and see what I can make work.
