The backspacing depends on what you want it to look like. And you should run a 10.5 if you want to run 315's on the rear. What choices do they give you in backspacing?

NOTE: As far as I know, the biggest you can run without modifying the front is a 275.

well they have alot of different wheel styles for TT2's

but i went and searched my car on the site and it came up with these specs for the TT2's

Product Number: VN50579563
Size: 17x9.5
Product Description: Fully polished
Backside Spacing (in/mm): 7/178
Offset: 45.72mm

Recommended accessories
Center Caps:
Included

Now, what is the max size tire i can run with the 17x9.5?

can i run a 245/50/17 on this rim aswell? and run 275/45's on the rear, or do you suggest i go bigger?

edit, i found this size TT2 for the car for the rear,

part #
505-71163

size
17x11

offset
45

backsize
7 3/4

bolt circle
5-4 3/4

for 93-on Camaro/Firebird

is backsize the same as backspacing, i want the rears to have a decent size lip on them..

You wont be able to run 17x11's in the front. You'll have to stagger the wheel size, meaning using two 17x11's for the rear and two 17x9.5's in the front. A 245/50 wont fit on an 11 inch rim.

Alot of people including myself use this combo :

17X10.5 or 17 X 11 Rear
45 mm offset
5 X 4.75 Bolt Pattern
315/35/17 Rear Tire

17 X 9 or 17 X 9.5 Front
44 mm offset
5 X 4.75 Bolt Pattern
275/40/17 Front Tire

a 245-50-17 is a tall tire to run on the front of an fbody. a 245-45-17 would fit better, or a 275-40-17. for the rear, i would suggest a 275-40-17 as well or 315-35-17 if you plan to run an 11" wide wheel back there.
