Rims on a third Gen.

with adapters even you are moving the center point (fulcrum) out away from teh car giving it more leverage on the parts, the cost of teh adapters is about the same as custom backspacing if you ask the manufacturer to do it (as in not slp or the tire store), you can also use wheels for the s10 which broadens the scope too, cheap and 18" don't belong together. I have had numerous sets of wheels for 3rd gens (granted they were 16") and never spent more than $200 a wheel

I do like the drag wheels but it isnt what I really wanted, just somethin around 17 inch that would look good.
Is it true that alot of third gen rims are compatible with S-10 rims?
Just not really a fan of stock buttrock rims.

Karp, im not arguing with you, but I agree with Arch here. Spacers are dangerous. There isnt really a doubt about that. Its not the 'if' they are dangerous, its just in what case. I've been working in the auto industry for quite a few years, and have already seen way too many problems out of spacers, and yes, a few of them highly dangerous. All the points Arch has made have been correct, but I see your side also.
When I do things, I want to do them right, and safe the first time. Its how A) You dont break your car, and end up spending more money in the long run. And B) You dont kill yourself.
Just find a wheel to your liking that you can have customized to the 3rd gen backspacing imo.

who really gives a ****. theres 1000 things that are and are not dangerous with cars. having slicks on a car on the street is dangerous but not EVERYONE will crash. Ive talked to people who have spacers that have and havent had problems. Not worth arguing.
