Security light on, passkey bypassed by prior owner, please help...

Hello, my car runs like **** when you first start it up, and sometimes you have to play with the ignition to get it start or it will act like dead battery, I feel this is because prior owner bypassed the stock key security setup and made it work with just a 1.00 key. so security light is on at all times, for first 5min of driving car it runs horrible, spits, backfires, no power, etc, but it acts like once its running for a few mins. i can drive if fine all day, is the computer having to learn the loop in those first few mins and that is why it runs like crap, i'm not sure about all this electric stuff, so any help will be most appreciated!

I would say reconnects VATS, and scan your PCM for SES. Once you get a scan, you mite find the problem is something other then your VATS mod.

my local locksmith knows my car and this is what he said...

He was friends with the prior owners and said they were too cheap to get the right key, so they dropped the steering column and jumped some wires to avoid having to use it. He said after they did that the car wasn't getting fuel like it was supposed to because it thought it was getting stolen. So he is going to fix all of it for me for about $50.00 plus i have to buy a key, maybe more if i have to buy a new ignition switch. thanks for the help, i'll update you.
