thanks for reviving this thread i have a question.

k after taking my trans apart i learned how the shifter and linkage work. the actual "shift gate" is halfway down the main shift rail. its that small ball that rides in the "H" (sorta) pattern.

so my question is, how can modifying the shifter make the ball ride better in the gate?

after i put the ball back in the gate it was rough and after awhile it loosened up, so i get a better idea of how things work and i see the shifter even more insignificant.
