Some pics of the CVR billet / polished starter !
It has been awhile since I last posted and wanted to share some pics of my latest project CVR/Summit starter because it is absolutely gorgeous ! I'm not sure it has any place on a streetcar ( like my car is ever on the street ! LOL ) I have to say this starter was an extremely easy install. Summit actually contracts CVR to build this to their spec and you can clock the starter about 4 different ways. I actually clocked the unit completely upside down and ended up with perfect clearance between the oil pan and the FLP longtube. The only thing that did not fit was the CVR block that you separate from the starter. The very edge of the block had to be milled down about 1/8 wide by 1/4 long (no biggie). You can't even see it because the spot is right next to the oil pan ridge. I used 1 shim and bolted it into place and it worked perfect the first time. You can actually move the engagement gear to contact the flywheel in different positions ( pretty trick ).
Well, here you go....
Sorry there a little dark
Here is the actual starter from summit if anyone is interested in specs.
