your car won't go that fast aero would slow it down first

RFF 04-30-2005 02:05 AM

I see it as being possible with a heavy modded car. I mean hell I know their are a few third gens that can go 200 MPH.

archemedes 04-30-2005 02:07 AM

the c4 vette had the power to go 200 and didn't make it since the body just wouldn't do it 200 mph is fast for a street car (most would lift off the ground before tehn) and a convertable is not the best for aerodynamics anyway

the 3.4 is at 108 and the 3.8 is 118. its cuz the factory tires on were rated that way for each engine.

loochy88 04-30-2005 03:36 AM

jet scu claims to be able to disable it. i have it on my car but have never dried to brake 118 since ive had it. www.jetchip.com

hmm the gtp had the speed rated tires maybe it's because the factory rating on the trans was 5 hp less than the engine rating :lolsign:
