The 4th gens are all electronic. You have to recalibrate the computer in order to get it operate correctly. There is no speedo gear in the 4th gens

Contact a good speedo shop. They sell a kit that corrects for this. Its a little black box with dip switches. Comes with instructions. You have to splice it in to the wiring harness.
