Sqweek Sqweek Sqweek

Ok, well today was a day of some fixin to the car (doesnt need much) So I had 4 new Tires put on. Why? because the car had FOUR differnt tires when we got it haha how funny? Thats why the price got lowered. So anyways, after that I took it to Midas to see about the car makin that annoying loud sqweekin everyim time I apply the brakes. Well they said its because there new pads when they looked at it and there not worn in. I found that weird cause every other car that I know with new pads never does that so yea weird eh? My dad said its nothing but hes not the one driving I mean my friend heard it from the soccer field when playing in the game as I came in and stoped so yea its kinda loud. Should I jack my car up and look at the rotas and such? Or take it to another shop that I know and trust well to see what they say? Im slowly learning the parts and tech of the camaro have to get rid of that crappy sentra stuff haha.

if they are new pads, there is a break in procedure. You might want to take it up to about 80 and slam on the breaks. That usually helps a bit, after that, try to drive about 100 or so miles without using too much pressure on them...

sounds like they never applied the anti squak compound to the back of the pads,I usually do the lock up at 20 and not 80 but same idea (was told to do that by a gm service manager)

Yeah that is the funny thing about my pads, if I have to lay into the brakes they will actually squeak less for the day.

I never turn rotors anymore (if I had a lathe I would but the cost of turning is almost as much as a new rotor)
