if you run it lower than a quarter tank the filter needs replacing more often (and so will the pump) fuel filters should be replaced every other oil change or so

my filter was replaced recently but not the pump . . . quick question, having a pump that puts out more lph, does that just increase the ammount of gas to your engine

it increases the potential for more fuel volume to the engine, but things like lines, and regulator keep pressure and volume down

Your stock pump should be more than ample. Until you start getting over 50% of you original power should you need a bigger pump. If anything a bigger pump would just burn out quicker and your regulator would start creeping more fuel past since all that volume coming from the pump has no where to go..
