They arnt terrible, but definately not fun.
If it has never been replaced before, buy you an aftermarket (DONT GO OEM) window motor, and get a switch from a junkyard. Drill out some rivets, rivet the new motor in, plug it up, stick the new switch in, and you should be as good as new for about as much as they charged you to look at it.

Was your window motor shot that you know of? You were saying that you putting door speakers in. If it worked before it probobly still works you just have some jacked up buttons. Dealerships would say that just to make more money off you. And If it is shot you could get one a a local auto parts store. I know advance auto usually has it on stock because I used to work at one and Had to replace one on my formula. Its not that hard of a job. A lil pita because of the tight space but it is easily done.

Replacing window motors isnt that hard, It LOOKS hard but if your carefull and know what your doing its fairly easy. Just takes time to do. Motors are fairly cheap at auto zone I got mine there and its still fine as dandy that was probably almost a year ago.

yeah guys its cake. drilling the hole in the door is the hardest part, only cuz youre kinda shooting in the dark. once you get holes drilled drilling out the rivets is easy, removing the motor is easy, and putting the new one in is easy.
with all the problems ive had with my passenger motor and as many times as ive done it, now i can R/R it in about 20 minutes while taking my time.
the first time i did it i had shoebox's walkthrough. saved me mucho tiempo.
