It would almost be cheaper and more time efficient to get an aftermarket one.

But I have no idea if it would fit, I would assume so since its going to be about the same size. I just think while you have one out, upgrade.

Thats what im taking out, i have all kinds of aftermarked radios, dvd players, subs ect. but i dont like the aftermarket one that came in the car and i dont want to put my high $ **** in the car untill i start driving it full time and i cant find my old stock radio from my last camaro and i can find the 97-02 radios fairly cheap, thats why i asked.

They dont really look like the same size, the 97 stock looks a bit bigger, and looks like it came with a cd player over cassette. Just from looking it it, I dont think its going to fit.

yeah since the redesigned interior, the space for a stereo looks larger, which Im guessing they made them all to fit in there nice so it looks good... the space is just a bit smaller on the 93-96s. Plus who knows if the electrical changed any.
