Well, ever since I have upgraded to the 17" SS rims wit the 275s I have noticed that when I'm just cruising though my neighborhood I always hear this like constant thud noise coming from the front tires, and I can feel the vibration in my front when its on the gas pedal, Even when I go to brake I can feel it a tad more then. I dont notice it at higher speeds mainly do to hearing the exhaust to much or road noise but when I brake at anytime really I notice it. I talked to a few people of this board and they said It could be the car needs to be balanced or wheel spacers. Ill admit im suspension stuipd and such and changing tires. But my car did come with the factory Hubs with the 215s and it hasnt had a balance or anything of that since I changed rims. Could that be the problem or what?

Okay, to pinpoint your problem, here are the things I need to know.

What speed is the vibration / noise at?

Where is the vibration? In the seat? Or in the steering wheel? Or both?

Is the 'thud' your reffering to, more like a 'whap whap whap' that gets louder and faster the faster you go?

Balancing your tires will not change the sound, that has to do mostly with the tires you chose, and the way the air moving out of the grooves of your tires creates a sound. Z and W rated high performance tires are very bad at making noise, its aggrivating, but something you have to live with in the 'high performance' lifestyle. But it can also be caused by tire 'chop' this means when the tires have not been rotated and the tread on the tires go up and down like so -_-_-_- but with a directional angle, causing a noise and if extreme enough, a vibration.

Only times I notice it at is when Im going 30-35mph. The vibration I feel is though my foot when its on either the brake or gas pedal. Its a real hard sound to say a word for it but its like...a thud or whomp I guess would be a way to say. Its really hard to explain the noise cause its not a BANG type noise ya know? Maybe ill try rotating the tires maybe that will fix it.

That tread design is known for that. Go outside and run your hand over your tread of your tire and see if there is any up and down chopping, it'll make it kind of in a wavey motion.

Best advice I can give is rotate and balance the tires. Now, as per a vibration in the brake... that would have to do with warped brake rotors, not a big deal, just need to have them trued. (Its mainly just an aggrivation, so its up to you if you want to fix either of your problems.)

There is something else I was going to mention but now I cant think of it...

Oh and btw. A 30-35 vibration is too low for balance 'usually', they tend to stay in the 45-55 range or higher even. So just take that into account.

Oh, and the thing I wanted to mention, when you feel a vibration in the accelerator, then its the front tires / balance. If you feel it in the seat, then its the rear tires / balance.

Awsome, thanks i think you probably nailed it dead on. After reading that I remember when I first got them a guy I know with a Z28 said he had them and they were annoying to him so I guess thats what he was talkin about. Its only the fronts then since I feel it only in the pedals. Also, I do recall being told the rotors were starting to become warped but like you said thats not a big deal.
