I would think about using UMI performance. They are helping us out by sponsoring our site. Might as well help them by purchasing their products.

Yeah I already thought about that, and already checked. They didnt have any for a V6 there. Theyre all for V8s.

Chad, did you do the decal yourself? Any tips or directions on how you did it if so?

How warm is warm? Does room temperature work?

How much difference is there between a V6 and a V8 as far as the mounting points for the strut tower braces? I would think that they would be about the same. E-mail UMI and see what they say. They may have some answers and may point you in the right direction as far as who does make one for a V6.

Well I already bought it, so its kinda pointless. I know theres a difference because why else would it say:
93-02 Chevrolet Camaro
93-02 Pontiac Firebird
(Will Not Fit V6 Models & 96-97 SS)

They won't fit V6's because the TB is in the way, since the V8's are larger it's in front of the strut tower brace. The one I have on my LS1 is a V6 one that I bought for my 3.4 but never used.

As for putting the decal on Chad... you never answered me. Did you do it yourself? If so, how did you go about doing it? I plan on doing this tomorrow, so I wanted to know how you did it. water with dishsoap and squegee or what?

Just got home and was looking thru UMI catalog. Guess what? They sell a Shock Tower Brace for V6's. It is on page 8 of the catalog. Item #2007 and is $79.99. Comes in red, black, yellow and silver. They have 3 listed. 2 are for 93-02 of which one is mild steel and the other is chrome moly. The 3rd is for the V6 and 96-97 SS.
