My friend Joe wanted to know what kind of mods are cheap and productive to modding his 305 on a low budget, Im sure a lot of the 3rd gens owners on here know some good ones

It's a TBI, there isn't much you can do to it besides start saving money for a better engine. You'll see abunch of BS written on the 3rdgen boards about making a 305TBI perform, but almost all of it is theory.

Otherwise your std crap. Open up the exhaust and intake. Dual snorkel air cleaner, cat back exhaust.

#1 mod should be get some subframe connectors in it.

Unfortunitly like it has already been said the engine will never be really powerful. Personally I would put a nice intake and exhaust on it and call it done. Then I would spend the extra money making the car look better getting stuff like wheels, a hood, spoiler, etc... That way he could still have a fun car but one that sounded mean and looked even meaner.

Looks wise I think the best thing he could do is add the Z28 spoiler, 3" cowl hood, Z28 GFX, put some 17" ZR1's on it, and tint the window's. That would look amazing to me at least.

My next thirdgen will be a 91-92 Z28. 3" cowl hood, and painted like a Corvette GS.
