I don't have a car a the moment but i am planning on buying a third gen, and dropping in a built 383 in. I know that the T5 wont hold up for very long, and i was wondering if anybody knows some places where you can buy the things to do the swap. Thanx

Yeah idk i heard there are some places where you can get the complete trans to drop right in (shifter, crossmember, etc.) ill find something

haven't seen anything myself, but to buy a kit will be expensive and doing the crossmember is extremely easy all the parts would be on a junkyard car

Here is a tech page T-56 swap

and here is a F-body site that has all kinds of parts for the swap. they have the motor mounts and engine mounts for LS1-LT1 and T-56.

haha, yeah im only 16, i found a place where i can bould up a t5 into a bad *** tranny. it makes it clutch asisted, so when shifting you only need to let of the gas and slam the gear, no clutch needed. it can handle 600 hp, where the T-56 can only hold like 450, and its cheaper and easier. i'll find the link
