T5 Upgrades
My engine is stock cept for small intake mods, but other than that I'm not putting out much in HP. In fact where I live (7k elevation = 10.4psi) I put out around 160hp.
However one day a friend in his 350z wanted to race out on this side road. (Normally I wouldn't race, but this is Northern Arizona, there is NOTHING on some of these roads.)
I pushed the car hard to see what it can do, I noticed the clutch just didn't want to catch when I let it out at high RPMs. It also seemed to take a bit to catch when shifting at high RPM points. I.E shifting from 5k rpm@2nd gear to about 4krpm in 3rd. (note not exact numbers). After the race I sure smelt the clutch too.
I've seen a lot of Stage 1-4 kits with the clutch and flywheel, but is there more that I should be looking at if I want a stronger transmission? I've been considering a Turbo for some time now and will probably get one in a year or so. But I want to have the supporting mods first.
I guess my question can boil down to:
Do I need something like this?

Or is there a lot more I should do in order to have a drivetrain that can reliably handle a turbo@6 to 10 psi?

theres always cluthes and flywheels n such, but if you want to get serious, and IMO you dont have to, theres carbon fiber synchro blocker rins, steel shift forks, etc., all of which arent really necessary.

if i wanted a better performance clutch i would just get the spec stage 1 because anything else is kinda over kill with a 6 and almost stock car i had a 3 stage clutch on my last car but it was completely modded and was still annoying to drive as a daily driver so i would reccomend a stage 1 clutch

Do the higher stages cause the clutch to catch much faster or something? I.E a very sensitive clutch peddle?
