A tech question in Hot Rod

Thought someone here may use this.A guy asked about an opti spark, and trans in a '94 formula. Seems he's been going through both regularly. Hot rod says msd now has a cap and rotor available(part number 8481 for 93-'94 84811 for 95-97)alos Delteq has a system called Opti Direct which changes the opti spark to distributorless, is plug and play, also the original opti stays in place. The problem with the trans seems to be the computer has the trans shift too early and carputings lt1edit fixes shiftpoints and line pressures enhancing the life of the trans.

The Delteq could almost be considered a blessing from the heavens themself. A simple plug in play system that is stronger then the Opti and yet keeps the Opti's opticial parts so you you still get great timing.

I have been following the developement and selling of the delteq system for a while, the only thing that has me spooked is that I have heard sometimes the system can run into problems after install because of bad hardware. However, these problems occured when they were first being developed so maybe the problems have been fixed.
