So far I cannot find anybody in my area that can tune an LT1 car for forced induction. Is their anyway I can do it myself?

It'd be very hard to do it without knowing what's required. There's alot of tuning going into forced induction, not to mention numerous dyno runs, software, etc.

It is all good, my friend told me we could use his truck and trailer to haul my car to Houston or Thundert Racing in Baton Rouge.

you can technically do it, but most of teh guys who do it for a living have a bunch of things to compare, and also know what works without killing parts

Since every motor is technically different you can't get an exact tune without actually puttin the car on a dyno and doin many different pulls. YOU CAN however send out to a company and give them everything that your car has on it and they can get a pretty close tune. But you have to also know your volumetric efficiency as well as all your parts to get a good tune. I believe Arizona Speed and Marine will do a tune on a car with only knowing the parts.

But with forced induction there is a lot more that has to be done to get a nice tune. Your fuel pressure has to monitored as with your injector pulses and such. If you are just doin a heads/cam package you can get much closer, but with forced induction it opens more variables.

I would say that Thunder Racin would be able to tune your car pretty successfully though. Set aside around $5-700 to get it tuned however, that is includin the $200 for LT1 edit, which most places use to tune the LT1, and I would say works quite nicely and is easy to use if you know what you are doing.

So basically while a tune is great/needed thing it is very limited too.

basically it has to be done with everything the way you will run, or it has to be a compromise

How senstive is the tune, like can minor mods throw it off. Could I still use something like a hypertech for tire and gear correction on the speedo?

to make the most power anything can change it, technically speaking the temperature outside can change it all depends on what you want, changing boost levels needs retuning since detonation can happen

That is kind of messed up don't you think? I mean why offer an adjustment **** to change the boost level if you have to retune for each PSI.
