those with ignition boxes

where did you mount yours? i want it inside where i can retard the timing at will, however ive heard some bad things about heat and mounting it in the glovebox. any thoughts...

I mounted my 685 in the nose of my car right where the washer fluid bottle used to be. It gets plenty of airflow there.

There a couple problems mounting it inside-

1.) The heat can be an issue if its in a closed in area- esp in the summer
2.) Some ignition boxes are very noisy. A friend on mine had it mounted on the firewall and you could hear it, it was very annoying. I can imagine being in the glovebox would be even worse.
3.) Not sure about possible interference issues you would have either mounting it in the car like that-

If you want to retard the ignition at will, just get a remote **** for the ignition box. Check Summit- I'm sure MSD has a couple different options, you aren't the first person to think of this...

yeah LT1 WS6s have the perfect spot where the regular airbox goes. and like joe said, there a plenty of remotes for those boxes out there.
