Wow $99 that a good price BUT are they any good?
that kind of low for a 315...

paarman97maro 05-08-2007 12:41 AM

ya haha..way too low

NoRiceInside 05-08-2007 03:35 AM

ok so now its down to KDs or GSD3s?

CHINGON 05-08-2007 04:20 AM

Overall GSD3 is a better tire and Treadwear is not so bad.
Add $20 and get them

i dont even know why im asking this. i know the answers to these questions cuz ive gone over them many times before.

i wanted sumis cuz i just wanna get some wheels and tires and be rollin. but i always go by the notion of why bother making your car faster if youre gonna get **** tires? theres no use in having 500 hp if your tires cant hook so spend the money. i always used that to sell tires, why not go by the same theory myself.

today i was on the freeway playin with my boss and his R1. i had it up to 135, which is the fastest ive been in this car, and as the freeway started curving i really got worried. my current tires suck, and i was worried about losing traction. they held fine, but it made me realize, i'd love some GSD3 :D

KD vs. GSD3: KDs probably have better dry straight line traction, but GSD3s have better handling and probably better wet traction. im goin with those.

Good choice.

NoRiceInside 05-08-2007 09:09 PM

holy **** it better be a good tire. $1100 with tax and shipping. another 130 if i want road hazard. ARGH!

NoRiceInside 05-08-2007 09:13 PM

hmm...nittos would be 750 total for DRs in the rear and regular 555s up front. thats more reasonable and would still perform for me.

97z2801ss 05-08-2007 10:08 PM

nittos 315

paarman97maro 05-08-2007 11:16 PM

Good thing you thought about this AFTER you quit your tire place hahaha...

where are you getting them from? I say go with the gsd3s.

69z-28 05-08-2007 11:39 PM

caleb if you want the look go with 11" wheels and 315s. however if you want to be the fastest and hook the best, go with the 275 Nittos or a small drag radial. the 315s are hard to spin with a bolt on motor. i can smoke 1st gear with the nittos and i hit 2nd it just grabs, as opposed to any other street tire, 2nd and 3rd gear are just smoke. im glad i went with 315s cause they look better but at the track i would want a 15" or 16" wheel with a 255 or so cause the 315s are NOT for racing.

NoRiceInside 05-09-2007 03:40 AM

well thats my problem, i want it to look badass AND hook. and yes i know, that much rubber gripping will actually hurt.

in that respect, the 315 GSD3s should be perfect. time to start saving...

NoRiceInside 05-09-2007 03:41 AM

oh **** brah. i forgot about my 355!!!!! and holy crap, dude this works out great. the difference from sumi to gy is like 500 bucks...thats exactly what i was planning on asking for my block and parts!!! dude!!!!!!!!!
