traction

hey guys,
i just got a 95 Z-28 a couple of days ago. Everytime i hit the gas i get major burnage, its fun and all to light up the tire every once in a while but enough is enough. The tires are farely new and have like 80-85% of the tred left. I was wondering to get better traction to throw on some ladder bars, and possiblly throw a gear in it 3.73 or 4.10, havent really made up my mind yet on the gear situation. I was just curious of what you guy thought or recommend.
Thanks, Mark

For traction you should get some suspension parts in. I would get a torque arm, shocks, lca, phb, etc...

do a lot of research before you buy anything. talk to people and see what works best for others.

check out those sites. they are pretty much the main places to get F-body stuff.
some places that are pretty good and have a good selection are:
Thunder racing
Fast Toys Performance
LM Performance
Combination motorsports

and then just look through the list and check out the sites. some are better than others and as you'll find out, you have to shop around alot to get good prices cause every place is usually different, but it depends. good luck.

To get traction you need weight transfer. All the best suspension parts in the world won't do much unless you actually get weight on the tires. But in order to do that you are going to give up some of the handling. You need to do one of two things- either get more of a drag suspension set-up or not floor the pedal so much!! If you just ease into the throttle you will need quite a bit of horsepower to break them loose that way.
