Question traction bar question

I have a 3rd gen. camaro and i was wondering if a set of lakewood traction bars would do away with my torque arm. Does anyone know?

well damn , im about to put a ford 9 in. under my car and there is no place to bolt the torque arm to a ford rearend and i didnt know if it would be better to buy some ladder bars or some lakewood traction bars . but i guess i will go with some ladder bars.

ladder bars will be much better, the stock setup is a real weak link to start with

I bet with my Moser 9" and tunnel mount torque arm it won't be a problem..

But Arch is right- you need to either re-engineer the suspension set-up or keep running the torque arm.

The LCA's keep the axle in place front to back, the panhard bar keeps it left and right and the torque arm keeps the pitch correct.

Without going to a 4-link set-up I think you are flirting with problems. You can get away with ladder bars but they are harder to tune your suspension in with, esp. if you try and make them yourself. I have seen it done, but it isn't always pretty.
