tranny question

ok, so iv been wondering this for a while just never posted about it, if i stomp the gas in second it goes, i let off so it will shift to third and then stomp it again it always just kicks down into second again and revs the hell out of the engine. i even let it go to about 5 grand in second and then let it into third but once it goes into third and i hit the gas again it will just kick down into second again. anyone got an idea why it does this? is it a problem?

Have you checked the fluid, and Do you have a tranny cooler cause I had that problem and when I got a tranny cooler it helped a lot. it still does it a little but not it is not as bad now.
