Newbie here! My problem is I have a 95 camaro w /3.4 and auto trans and I have no speedo and only 2nd & 3rd gear, started after it was parked for about a week ran fine before parked. Eng lite on for no signal at VSS, replaced VSS and still have same problem. ? is there speedo relay or buffer ? All fuses have been checked. I did find some wires on top of the intake that was chewed up by rat ?, repaired and still same problem.Also did try a used ECM and did not help. Is there something I have missed? Thanks!!!

does sound electrical start tracing wires and see if they are bad anywhere else, could be the switch shorted out

If you have wires chewed in one place, more than likely its in another place too.. Like Arch said, keep diggin for more bad wires

Repaired it Sunday and it was the VSS wires chewed up .

Did you repair the wires before the new VSS? if you didnt, you prob, shorted the new one.. Just a thought
