Transmission Fluid and Filter Change.

What do you Automatic 700R4 Guys Use? I want to Spend around 40-60 Bucks.. Also, Has anyone Tried the Seafoam/TransTune Stuff to flush their Transmission?

not sure what to tell you. just get any filter and gasket kit that comes with a rubber gasket. shouldn't cost more than 20 bucks i think. just get any fluid thats not a generic brand and youll be good

blue89vert 08-05-2007 10:11 PM

since you race maybe u wanna try some b&m trick shift fluid or probably lucas oil would be good

paarman97maro 08-06-2007 09:09 AM

my dad was gonna try that seafoam on his van... havent heard the results yet.

I dont plan on drag racing again for a while. Going to School in a Diffrent State.

I guess I'll Ask around and see if anyone knows about that Trans Tune/Seafoam.

archemedes 08-11-2007 07:12 PM

never used the transtune (don't like adding anything to any fluid) I use regular dexron III and a standard filter kit

paarman97maro 08-11-2007 08:25 PM

My dad said it took away his check engine light and is running better.

He might have been low on fluid then. Personally I wouldnt use it either unless Im getting ready to change the fluid, Then I might run it for a little bit with it before I flush it.

archemedes 08-12-2007 12:28 PM

no additive will fix a check engine light, it may have been something was sticking, or getting too hot in which case regular fluid would have done the same

MetalliCamaro 08-12-2007 03:18 PM

Yea, I'm gonna Flush the whole thing, TC and the cooler/lines.
