Transmission Problem!!!

Yet another problem with my car...I drove a bit in the morning today and the car was fine until now, an hour later from parking it, this loud clunking noise came out of nowhere. I referred to my manuel and it said to check the driveshafts connections because it clunks under initial load (when I first step on the gas after stopping). I checked underneath it and there is this loose bolt that I cant get back in because I think it's not lining up right. And it looks like the driveshaft slid out a bit. Refer to pic at....msnusers.com/CamaroSS, the bolt is facing the passenger side.

The driveshaft will look like it slid out a bit because as your rear suspension compresses it pushes the driveshaft forward some- but the bolt that is loose looks like it holds the tailshaft together.

As far as your clunking in concerned, try and check your transmission mount. That is typically the culprit-

Okay, I had the Exact problem, Your bolt has snapped.. your gonna have to take that Stabalizer bar from the tranny to the rear end, off. I mean, I didnt take mine all the way off, but you need to jack up the the rear end so the rear end is free so its not supporting anything. and take the 3 bolts out of the rear tail shaft, (since one is snapped theres gonna Only be two Bolts that will thread out) the tail shaft is 1 solid unit. it wont come apart. Dont worry about that. and your gonna need a new Bolt. granted you can thread out the old bolt.. Cause I think that specific Nut is welded to the bracket. anyway. Your gonna want to check the Rubber in that mount. Try to get a new one if you can. you wont get the bracket new. I couldnt find one anywhere. Just the rubber. anyway, (I put a little bit of grease on the Rubber.. Cant hurt) when you get it fixed put it all back together. and change the Main Tranny Mount. Thats part of the reason that bolt snapped.

Trust me Ive been through it. any questions? PM me...
