TSP exhaust

Well my interest to make my car sound a little different has again, returned. Im really liking the TSP, seems to sound the best without headers or changing the cat. Of course this doesn't come without questions, and as you all know, im good with those.

First, how loud is the TSP system, I want some more sound, but I don't want to wake the whole neighborhood up when I come home at night, my buddy has a system on his 4.3 in his sonoma you can hear from a mile away, thats not really what im looking for.

Second, is it worth getting a new cat, or just gut the stock one or what? How does the cat reflect the sound of the exhaust? The whole exhaust thing is still kinda new to me.

if you have emissions.. get a high flow. If not, gut it. Get headers. Thats about the best youre gonna get out of a 3.8... if you want louder, get a v8.

I had TSP on my 3.8L. It was loud, but nice. If you want loud, do it. If you want kinda loud, do something else aftermarket... magnaflow etc.

Im in michigan, I dont think we have emissions. I didnt really want to do headers right now, to much $, that sadly, I dont have. I liked the way the tsp rumbler sounded on AM's car, that was what made me want to get it.

I really liked the tone of the tsp rumbler, but I just dont want something super loud and annoying, its not to the point where it bugs you on a long drive is it? I'm not sure I liked the tone of the magnaflows, not to mention there more moola. Ahrg, I knew this wouldnt be easy.....

I never heard the rumbler on a v6 in person. Ive heard videos and it sounds allright. I had a flowmaster cat-back on my 3.8 i used to own, It didnt sound that bad and it wasnt annoyingly loud. My buddy has the systerm on his 93 Z and it sounds BA.

Yeah it is loud. Very nice, but loud. As for bugging you on a long drive... Hmm... It definately can relax you with the deep tone rumbling through the car at cruising speeds. I never got annoyed of it. I'd say go for it. It's cheaper, it sounds good on the 3.8... It is all a matter of opinion of if it is TOO loud though.
