Quite a few 3.8L on there with a turbo setup and running ask your questions on there nobody on here with a V6 has turbo or knows that much about them. They dont make kits for the V6 F-Bodys just to let you know there all custom made or you can talk to Tiago owner of ForcedFedFab.......hes good but just look around that site lots of good info.

as with any power adder it will wear the engine faster, how much faster depends on maintenance, and driving style

yep, I have a 16 year old Dodge with a factory turbo on it, and it is still running pretty strong.

Power adders help your smile when you drive and hurt your wallet when they break...thats about the best I can tell ya.

I perfectly tuned motor should have no problem runnin for miles and miles. Blowers and turbos get a bad rap just like nitrous in that people just want to take a stock motor and slap boost to it and expect it run. What they forget, is same as nitrous, more air means more fuel. The stories you hear about people blowin their motors are more than likely one of two reasons-

1.) Put way too much boost on stock internals and a leaned it out burning holes in pistons or shattering connecting rods

2.)Took a 150,000 mile whipped motor and expected it to handle normal boost like a new motor would

Like Arch said, longevity depends on your driving style and condition of your motor. But in addition it also takes a well tuned motor to last. You can have a 10,000 motor and pop it the first time out the garage and you hammer on it if its not tuned..

Nope, 89 Dodge Spirit ES. I just gave it to my husband, he plans on tinkering with it, rebuilding the turbo, wheels, brakes, some little upgrades. It's his DD.

At 7psi you shouldn't need any internal engine work. But if I were you I'd get some p&p heads and a cam to compliment the turbo for some more power. And beef up your suspension if you havent already (torque arm, lcas, etc).
