turn signal problem

my girlfriend has a 2001 firebird and for some reason her turn signals arent working properly. When u turn either side on they flash but not in a regular pattern and its gradually getting worse so not they will flash like twice really fast then a long pause like 10 seconds then maybe flash again, we replaced the flasher but that wasnt the problem and im not really sure what else to check ive never been very good with electrical. Anyone have any idea what it is or what i should check? i know it sounds like a noob question but i suck with electrical lol.

Its in a retarted spot, Took me forever to figure out where mine was.

You have to remove that knee bolster panel on under the dash. Once you do, look on the left side wall under there, You should see the top of a small metal clip that is holding something to the other side of that wall. Pull that clip up and you will find the flasher relay.

Yea Its in a dumb *** spot, hope that helps.
