Insurance Sucks...Mine got raised cause so people in my "group" had some accidents and that was their reasoning. I was like wait i have to pay more cause someone else wrecked. Where the fairness in that?

only if you neglect to mention it, which is illegal, and will cancel any insurance claim you may make, which means you're screwed, especially if you do damage to other's property. If I was to ever do that swap, I'd would tell the ins. co.

an engine swap is illegal because of emmisions but insurance companies don't care (I checked with mine when I had my '69 and they said all they went by was the vin)

well if i did a v8 swap in cali it would take a lot to pass emissions. the smog shops go by the VIN too and since its a 6 its supposed to put out less gases than an 8 so i would have a hard time getting it to pass.

yeah but cali is a comunist state anyway and immediatly doesn't count (only state that wants any car older than 10 years off the road or track no matter running condition or use)

there is a bill that will take any car over 10 years old off the road (it probably won't pass sema already has lawyers fighting it) but that's the wonderful thing of the ****'s running that state they crush your car so shell oil can pollute more

yep supposedly after 10 years the cars are "gross polluters" since the people who write those things don't do maintenance they just buy a new car when the gas tank is empty
