And the verdict is...
DONE!!! 10:00 Monday night crowned me victorious over my headers. The install was time consuming and a pain in the a$$(mainly because I am a perfectionist), but I would do it again. I am also very surprised at the amount of ground clearance I have considering the drop of my car. The pacesetter fit is amazing and I am extremely happy with them. They tuck up nicely under the floorboard and every hole lined up perfectly. If anyone is thinking about getting these headers, I highly recommend them. Enough talking....time for the pics.

I will be finishing the rest of the exhaust hopefully tomarrow. I just have to try and find a shop that can do what I want. By the way, that brings up a question. Is it ok the drive my car the way it is to a shop about ten miles away? Open headers?

If you can drive 10 miles to a shop with open headers without at least a few cops snagging you......I want to live where you live. I couldn't drive 2 blocks with open headers where I live, and not get a ticket. Well, I could....I'd just have to drive one block, spin a 180, and drive back real quick.
Keep the RPM's low and steady, cause it can cause some serious back pressure if you're on it and then let the car compression down. A buddy of mine sucked a valve that way running open headers at the track. His compression rings were shot as well and it smoked like chimney......so just take it easy and you should be fine.

nice. looks good. the feeling to be done is great isnt it? if you have to take it to a shop then like everyone else said just be careful especially with cold air runing up those tubes when you shut it down. also ive heard horror stories of bad O2 sensors with open headers but i think youll be fien for a short time.

Well I got the car to my exhaust shop today. Everything is looking good. After it is done tomarrow, I will have to track down a digital video camera and get a clip taken.

nice! i want pacesetters. good move on gettin the ones without AIR/EGR. i want those. that ground clearance is incredible! and i love that #1 primary, it goes over the steering instead of behind it so it fits better (yes im making fun of you matt).
but a little bit of advice from a former LT1 with headers owner...get the "over the valve cover" wires. i burnt about 2 sets of plug wires in the stock location.

well you need the holders that are made for center bolt, cuz they have the longer bolts required, then you need the optispark ends. theyre different than most other distributors' boots. then cut to length wires. its easier and cheaper to get the kit. i think its 105 from thunder racing.
