well it's back together
i pulled the motor 2 weeks ago, ripped it apart, and found a cam with about 4 lobes ground like crazy. I believe it was due to lack of oil because there was nothing on the timing chain cover and very little in the valve covers. i put in a new hydrolic cam, lifters, and timing chain that were sitting in my garage, spent another 150-200 bucks on misc. things (gaskets, oil pump!, etc.) and buttoned the motor up. Then i added the shift kit and got a 2600 stall converter for 100 bucks from a friend of my stepdads. put er back together last weekend, and finally got around to driving it the past 2 days. its awsome, better than it ever has been. All i need now is a dyno tune. so thats my story, and needless to say i got pulled over. He gave me a warning for passing in a no passing zone, apparently he didn't get a chance to clock me, or see the powerslide i did when i entered the road
