What do you think of this kit?
So Before I parked my car I was having trouble with my cars tranny slipping, I beleive it is on its way out again. The tranny was replaced before but I bought a used one so I guess you get what you pay for. Anyway I have been looking around and I settled on this kit. Anyone ever hear of anyone doing this conversion. I plan on pulling some serious HP once I get into the engine. This should cover it for the tranny. Let me know what your opinion is on it before I dump a lot of money down on it.

Yea I know its alot but I plan on keeping the car and sinking a lot of money into it, That will be one thing I wont really want to worry about upgrading as I put money into the engine, *cough* procharger *cough*.

It's alot of money, but you can't get much better than a 4L80E. When I finally get all the parts together for my auto conversion, I will personally be going with one of these companies for a cheaper alternative:

thats the tranny in the Escalade that we have...the 4l60e is what they used in the older vettes, I love knowing the technology in our camaro's is still from the late 80's early 90's....ahaha

What kind of power are you making? The 4l80E is based on the old TH400, with an overdrive and electronics. It will stand up to almost anything HP level, but there are some drawbacks. It is a heavy transmission, and it will take you will make less hp to the tires compared to a 4l60E.
There are F bodies running well into the 10s with a PROPERLY BUILT 4l60E.
Some are even in the 9s. I think that Chevypower/ls1queen ran 9.40s in the orange T/A with a 4l60 before retiring it.
