what gear?????
I have my 3.23 gears that i would have to pay like $350 to have it put in. Or should i get a whole rear end with 3.73's? I am already bidding on the rear end here it is if u wanna see it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEBI%3AIT Keep in mind this is waaaaaay cheaper. Is 3.73 too high for my car?

Well its not gonna be a daily driver, i don't care about gas mileage since its so bad anyway. I don't care about goin really fast top speed either. I have a /th-700R4 i believe if thats what a 3 speed w/ O/D is. I plan to take it to the track every once in a while. I also am planning on dropping a 350 in it

Given your tran and your driving habits...
Autos typically like a 3.23 or 3.42 ratio for the street. A 3.42 will obviously give you a little holeshot, but will hurt your top-end and highway RPM a little more.
Personally I think the 3.73's would be a little high. They would help you get going with the 305, but once you put in a built 350 you will run out of gear.
I would almost recommend the 3.23's, 3.42's at most. You will be happy on the street, and you can also go on highway without having to cruise at above 3 grand.

im not too worried about the highway, but would 3.73s be ok for the street? Would they be ok if i kept the 305? How much top speed would i probably have? I appreciate all of your help.

would the 3.73's be ok with that trans? I know its kinda high but its the cheapest way to fix my car....right now i am unemployed but go back to work sometime in april. I would probly put the 3.23s in when i get the extra money or i would just upgrade to a whole new rear end. Whadaya think guys?
