All a short throw shifter does (as the name describes) is make your distance between gears shorter and smoother, allowing for easier normal and speed-shifting. It wont make you waste gas, unless you shift less, as you said.

most people that change to the short shifter say they did it for the comfort and ease of shifting. Better for driving.

Wheels are great improvement on the car. If you're looking for low cost ZR1 or C5s replicas you can aome by pretty cheaply compared to most wheels. Personally I don't care much for them, as it seems like everyother fbody has a set of those. If you like the style of the Torq Thrusts, but don't want the price you can get a set of the similar Bulllitt wheels for cheaper.

yea i wouldnt go with a short throw its kinda pointless, i had one on my last car which was completely built and really fast and it did make my shifts faster but its honestly not that much of a difference i just liked the feel, but if u just are starting to learn to drive stick i wouldnt mess with it, id go with tiny cause tint made a huge difference in my car

I'd get a short throw for any car I own just for the feel. Its a HUGE difference. Every gear is more defined.
