obviously you shouldn't be dropping a motor if you didn't even know what type of body/frame ect u have. Also. Whats the point of dropping a motor if people see a cavaqueer thats loud as **** and instead of thinking its done up they think you have a hole in your manifold?????

instead of buying a 600 dollar cavalier and trying to make it rear wheel drive and fast (which will cost you a good $8,000 to do even close to correctly), go and buy yourself a $4000 camaro and start having fun right away! I no it is fun to dream and all(not that I would ever dream of touching a cavalier) but sometimes you have to be a little more realistic :smokin:

if your thinking about putting a 3.1, you might aswell go and get a 3.4, lots more power and pretty much same effort as an older 3.1

RWD cavaliers have been done already. There was an '01 (I believe) yeallow 2dr cavalier for sale on ebay quite some time ago. and then heads on the engine were even sticking outa the hood atelast an inch. and big meaty tires on the back. Went for just over $8000 U.S. it was a 350 v8 if I remember correctly.

Also check this site out. http://www.dreammachinesltd.com/ then go to the portfolio section. It shows pictures of a sunfires A frame being cut to , and then having a new subframe put into place to properly hold the 3800. Look at spending atleast $8000 to properly have it done. The 3400 pretty much bolts right up with usually very little frame modifications.

RWD conversion? engine swap? what a waste of money, even if you dump a ton of cash into it and make a good track car that out does every other car, your still left with a gay cavilier :retard: , at the most it's a beater daily driver.

Save up and get something cool like a caprice.

I reccommend as stated above a nice 3400 boosted...Only really large thing i reccommend is changing the intake manifold gaskets before installing that motor...its really its weak point...this engine if you can make it breathe will make you happy as a kid in a candy store...

go caddy motor, the cattera rwd would be good for a cavy!

Eh bud, seriously, if you got enough money and time to even think about converting a cav to RWD, you should either a Buy a huge supercharger lower intake and full exhaust and save yourself the time and hassle or just sell the thing and get RWD like mustang, supra, vette, etc. However, if you could make it work which I have never heard of one, it would probrably be one of the coolest things to see.

it wouldnt be to hard just getting the geometry for alinment of the drivetrain.
