I'll jump into some of this...

I'm stoked!!! Recently went to Sacramento and got the '67 I've been looking for for over 20 years. Yeah, I love the 4th Gens, but the First Gens... This one has a few gremlins to figure out, but I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

Actually, a 78-79 Z28 had 175hp opposed to the 190hp on the 80-81s. That doesn't really matter though, because nearly none of them are still stock, and it's very easy to make 300+ with just a rebuild. Mine's close to 400 and it was cheap.

A 69 is definately the best-looking Camaro ever made, and the LS1 4th-gens are pretty tough too. Lots of people dont like the rubbernose Camaros like mine, but you can't beat one for cheap horsepower.

Edit: my bad, just saw you were talking about T/As. Going for a Smokey and the Bandit clone?

I've been pricing '69 to '73 the cheap ones are going for $10,000 and need most panels replaced. I can buy a completed mustang for half that (to give example) lately I've been watching a couple of mid '70's cudas they are going for around $5000 needing work, and the sky's the limit when nice

and from what I have seen that was a good deal I've been looking for a few years now, and have friends all over who look I can find one for $3000 that needs a frame, and all sheet metal parts (basically the vin tag, and cowl tag are salvagable the rest is junk)
