Wires/Plugs...

Mayhem is getting a little tune up of some essentials, and other little things, and I'm getting some new wires and spark plugs. This sound good?

Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro Ignition Wire Set - 3.4L V6 Camaro/Firebird

and NGK GP Platinum Spark Plugs.

or does anyone else have any other suggestions form this page : http://www.ftpp.net/V6Ignition.htm

I'm not looking for the most expensive, top-of-the-line stuff right now, just your nice, basic bang-for-your-buck stuff. Maybe a little better. Just not the nology Hot Wires. Way outta my league right now.

Taylor makes good wires, I'm starting to think all these so called "performance wires" are more of a scam.

eh. NGKs are for the ricer crowd mostly. theres always big discussions about those vs. the bosch plugs. but hey either one is better than autolites. as for the wires, i'd advise against taylors. i have em and whenever i take the wire off the plug the inside metal comes off on the plug. gay.

I have been considering trying the new Bosh +4's just to see if they are really as good as Bosh trys to make them out to be. Only thing I don't get is how the hell do you set the gap on the +4?

no its not a gimmick. friday when i pulled them out i wanted to see if it worked. i disabled the injectors and cranked the engine and held one of the plugs out. most of the electrodes fired

but yeah its impossible to regap these plugs.

teh big complaint I have heard is the electrodes block the flame kernal (racers index plugs to unblock teh flame can't do that well with 4)
