I must commend you on your bravery, you had some SERIOUS ***** trying to break into and steal my BLACK HONDA DEL SOL outside JRP's side entrance today. I'm impressed.

What you failed to realize however, was that you left something behind. Specifically, YOUR FINGERPRINTS who I have just had extracted from the quarter panel glass you popped off by the Forensic Identification derpartment at Peel Region Division #22.

Also, you forgot to notice the HUGE sticker on the door that states that the premises are on 24 hour video surveillance. I called an officer, and he was nice enough to come by and take a copy of the video of your car coming onto and speeding off the premises.

To everyone else, please take care of your car, be smart, and install an ignition kill and fuel cutoff switch system like I did. It saved my car!

my only regret was not running outside with my keys when the alarm went off. If i had, I could have chased him down. but, then again, maybe that would have been dangerous. someone this stupid may also have been crazy and carrying a weapon.

At least he didn't just smash his way in. The easiest way into my rabbit is to pry off the door handle. I've seen it many times, and Neuspeed amour plates will slow them down for about ten seconds. I just don't lock it. Flick your kill switch, take your face plate, and don't leave anything valuable in your car.

I know that. But it's almost impossible to start a car that has a kill switch. And mine doesn't even have a key any more. It does have a shift lock that I use to lock it in gear, and a parking brake lock to lock the park brake. The other way I make sure my car is still there is quick release steering wheel. Cost approx. $200. Lets see them steal it when there is no ignition to break, parking brake locked, lock in gear, and won't turn over. They can try and steal my stereo, but I don't leave the face plate on it.

just to let everyone know it is not hard to by-pass fuel cut off and ignition kill on any car/truck.. i can do it in less than a minute.. get a pager alarm with a battery backup, at least then you know when your ride is getting ripped off.. Just my 2cents

You'd have to pretty much know the entire wiring diagram of the engine control system and then you'd have to find the hidden switch before you could start most cars with a kill switch. While it may be easy to bypass a fuel pump kill switch, it's harder to find the kill switch and the affected circuit when the switch is turning off switched power to the ECU or cutting power to any other important function, which is what some people might do. You're saying that you could do that in under one minute?

Steve... I can't believe anyone would be that idiotic. Are the cameras good enough to get his plate? I'm glad he didn't get away with your car... even I would cry if that happened.

Yes, they got the plate, problem is, im thinking it was a stolen car, since there was only 1 occupant I could see, so if he got my car started, he would have had to leave that white shitbox behind.
