and where did these numbers come from? theres an mx3 in quebec thats in the 10s.similar setup to jakes too.

Mine has a .81 a/r as opposed to the .94 a/r it is supposed to come with. It has also been switched from a super to4 flange to a standard to4 flange rear discharge housing...Not to mention my 45* elbow welded on the comp. housing. That bumps the cost to over $1000usd.

700rwhp CAPABLE turbo (Just under 500rwhp at 20psi, my goal) for $1000usd, heh not bad if you ask me. For the record, I paid considerably less than $1000us for it.

Whatever, it was a figure of speech, relax.

You might, actually, you most likely WILL beat my white car with this setup. However, you will not stand a chance in hell against the other one when its done. That car will weigh about as much as you do.

2g's are scrap. the fastest pgt/mx6 is still a first gen before it went rwd/4link/2jz powered, 11.20 @ 129mph, matt fall last year, running an fe3 with just new pistons in it. stock everything else internally. im running the same motor, and its put cars into the 8's. ive heard of 2g's supposed to be going 10's forever. havent seen it happen yet, even though they have a newer and bigger motor... wonder why that is...
same motor is powering the fastest fwd mazda's on the planet, thats a fact. the ZE's would have picked up by now if they were any good. 2g guys should stick to body kits and leave the performance stuff to the first gen guys, who unfortunately, dont do much better of a job anyways

Blackout....actually I just go it home from the shop, I was getting the intercooler piping done, I will have some pics posted soon of it, and please dont remind me how much Ive spent. lol.

learn to write properly.

whats your point if its not a probe anymore? its not exactly a "rolling chasise" by any means either. point is, you claimed some mid 11 second probe was the fastest, which as you obviously knew, isnt true, since fallguy has been going low 11's on a mostly stock fe3 for how long now...
it doesnt matter now, since i dont see that 2jz/th400 powered probe with a backhalving KIT from some website assembled in his garage going any faster then when it was fwd... leave it to an amateur and expect to have it going into a wall right off the line

dan's abomination that you posted is also of little significance. the thing is built on cut corners. he has a DIY roll cage meant to LOOSELY fit some mustang that is modified to fit his car... what more is there to say? his goals arent very high either... he would be happy with 400whp...

either way, why should i be worried? my car is built in less time then his, im younger and i still go to school & work, and i didnt add a couple sponsers to help me build it either. with his $200 roll cage and his $100 ems, im not worried even if he has more displacement. there is a big difference between those ZE wrecks and FE3 powerhouses

the mx3 he is speaking of was this one:


fastest it ever went was 11.15 @ 134mph, which i think held some kind of canadian fwd import record during the imports scene's infancy

dave sold the mx3 a long time ago, to another freind of ours, eric. eric took the mx3, cut a significant amount of weight out, and moved a GT35R powered FE3 setup into it. it went a best of 10.8 @ 130mph while breaking 3rd gear... i.e. not a complete run. no good pics of it, this is it now though

he is now GT42R powered... some may have seen him at the track if youve been in quebec recently...


dave, previous owner of the mx3, got sponsered by mazda among others, and did a protege drag car. at this point, the FE3's potential was pretty clear to all of us, as it was putting cars into the 8's overseas. dave did a very cool turbo fe3 setup, and ran a best of 10.11 @ 149mph, but i havent heard much from that car since...

i got the FE3 since i was already well versed on the first gen stuff, so i gave it a go earlier this year as well. so 3 of us in canada are now running the built FE3's, all in different chassis though. car is being prepared now, so sooner or later, it will be run. nuff said
