so this guy is a cop eh ... i got the same vibe myself
and yea u are right about the escalade thing , but like i said , why pull over an escalade and put yourself in more danger than u're payed to be in , when you can pull over a civic , find a joint on some gino and call yourself a drug busting cop without loosing too much of the calories you've just gained in the past hour from doughnuts .
Why respect cops ... I respect 10% of the cops , the naive ones that actually want to make a difference . And of course most of these 10% are not dooing trafic patrol ...
The rest of the cops are either in it because it's an easy job where you can boss people arround , earn some decent money while not having a decent education , or are in it because they can earn something on the side helping the criminals .

Sadly one big difference is that , the people racing safely are easyer targets for the cops . The only way the idiots would get caught , is that is they race near a Tim Hortons . But the racers that go to safe spots , are hunted down by cops , that should be dooing more important things .
Compare how many crimes , to how many street racing accidents that happened at set racing spots , and then u'll see what I mean . Because I honestly don't remember of hearing about such an accident ...

Thats what im talking about.. Instead of hunting us down, shouldnt they be doing something more productive.. Anyways, i was in Toronto last night, and there was no cops kinda odd if you ask me, or maybe i didnt see the bastards. Well that was downtown that is, only saw one cop on Qween Street W. But like I find it a hassle now, that I keep getting pullled over all the time now just to see that my car is registered and such, yet i dont even have a suped up car... I drive a god damn 05 LX stock coupe. Yet they seem to enjoy pulling me over everywhere i go.

you must look young and have spiked hair or whatever else might put you in the same hole with others ... same issue like if you were black unfortunatelly , cops can't think much for themselves to they rely on generalization a lot

Zapa, since I have degree in law obviously I can't be a police officer.... I work for the Crown Attorneys office.
Street racing is a smaller issue of a bigger problem. Street racers that race on public streets tend to be more aggressive drivers overall, and yes they don't kill people often like guns do, but rather severly injure innocent people permanantly. I rarley find a victim that has mercy on a accused just casue he used his vehicle to hurt them than a gun.
If I was still at work I'd provide u with statistics to show u how often a traffic stop will turn into an arrest for reason like stolen property (car radios), drug possesion, firearms, stolen vehicles and even child molesters.
Just casue u get pulled over and get few PTO's doesn't mean u are guilty of anything, u have the right defend yourself..... or are u the wuss that begs the crown that your insurance will go up and plea bargains
As for the Escalade thing u guys really need to stop watching so much TV
Toronto doesn't have as serious street racing problem like the 905 region, and that's the reason for the stricter enforcement and zero tolerance
Anyways gentlemen I am off to Michigan to the race track, maybe one day we will meet ( on the street not in the court room)

the police dont do sh*t......i use to live in rexdale....marting grove/finch.....what has happened since may.....street racing and a kid wraps his car into a tree...a 16 year old stabbed at albion mall, another girl stabbed finch and albion. a drive by shooting one dead and another young child hit by two stray bullets....another drive by...no one hit.......and all of this not 5 min walk distance from me....no wonder i moved

obviousley there are alot of pull overs that end in arrests, but how many arrests are made from pulling over some kid with a modified car ? most of the arrests/pullovers are made from people driving like idiots, speeding, careless driving, not from just driving down the street, 2 days ago i got pulled AGAIN for no ing reason, i didnt get a ticket but its frustrating to lose 30 minutes of my time every trip i take just because i "look" like a street racer.
