You're the one that needs slicks to run at the track there buddy. Maybe you should take your own advice.

LOL! Some things never change it seems...

Listen... that 775whp civic will beat what ever you have, or ever will have and that's a fact.

One of many? how many other 750+ WHP Honda/Acura's do you personally know?

a blown headgasket will cuase coolant to come in to your cylinders, therefore drop the level of coolant in system. i was in 2nd gear at 1200rpm the motor is dead, but enough with the excuses sunday september 9th is a test and tune day at cayuga. ill be there and run my 14.5s, funny you must know alot of guys with the same motor+car setup but w/e ill be ready to run on that day.

no slicks need to run these cars.........becasue none of them will ever run....the only runnin they do is outta their mouths!i think you guys are just upset due to the fact you all are afiard to run you got a car that is decntly quick to punch it though parking lots and on a lone ranger runs down englington..............hi ho sliver and away....................eh why don't you ask mommy for a bit more money.......because the car she has bought you thus far is not fast enough to play with the other boys in the play ground

my parents didnt buy me the car, they wanted me to get a civic, but anyway i love this considering you guys do your solo runs yourselves but that dont matter, i dont ask my parents for money for my car as i do have a job. ill be up at cayuga, you guys wanna run there, then thats where ill be, but as far as street racing, maybe i like my slow car a little too much to see it get crushed. im not gonna bother on here anymore, ill be ready with my slow car to run on the track, which is more then what i can say for others.

Not always... I thought you would know at least this being an apprentice and all. I guess my expectations are a bit unrealistic.

Earlier on you implied that your car isn't set up for drag racing. Whether you specified needing slicks or not, you did mention your tires weren't going to hook up.

You're making up excuses about how your car isn't set up for the drag strip, how you didn't build it (or have it built) for drag, blah blah blah... but you've never really expanded on that and told us why exactly. I could say that the mods I have done to my car are more fitting for a circuit racer or auto-xer but that has never stopped me from hitting the strip... then again, I'm not afraid of getting shillacked by a VW either...

im pretty sure when you see bluish smoke that means that coolant is entering the combustion chamber and is getting burned off, regardless letting your engine warm up with a blown headgasket will most likely overheat the engine. i heard v-tech engages under oil preassure. regardless of my knowledge i raced 6 months and never raced any car before that let alone my own. i lost, so what i feel ive gotten a bit better now.

oh gawd..your an apprentice?
a blown headgasket does NOT automatically mean youll burn coolant.

Blue smoke= oil
black =fuel
white = coolant

its VTEC NOT vtech

and yes it uses oil pressure to move the pin(to engage) there are also other factors needing to be met in order for it to engage.

never said it automatically means you burn coolant, but its not healthy for any engine. most of the time coolant or oil gets to places it isnt supposed to.
