It's cool, I will do some more research and see if I can find out from my friend what kind of pills his little bro takes. Plus I'm not sure but after doing some reading I think adderall is stronger.

You've probably already done whatever it is you wanted to do, but I just wanted to add that if I was you, I wouldn't take either of those pills unless you yourself have add or adhd. Add and Adhd is a chemical imbalance and if you don't have either of those, then it is a stimulant. So if you are wanting it to make you study, its not going to work. If you want to get high, then go ahead.

Not true - It is a stimulant therefor hides the fact that your tired. Chronic use would indeed seem like he was high, but it would be the effects of the lack of sleep, not from the meds.

Although it's labelled an amphetimine it doesn't work the same was cocaine does. I won't get into all the particulars, but ADHD is not a chemical imbalance, its a smaller pre-fontal cortex of the brain, which is an inheritated physical trait, not biological.

Adderall is twice as strong as Ridilin and although I have never taken it, I've busted a fews kids at the college with it who have taken it chronically to help them study. Apparently it worked the first few times and then they became dependant on it.

she was on it for a while since she is adhd, her brother would steal her meds, they don't work like people say. Sudafed will do teh same (that's what pro hockey players use before a game)

Sudafed is a decongestant, why would anyone take it to stay awake or concentrate?

if you do some cardio stuff it opens the blood vessels (it's banned by the olympics as a performance enhancer)

I just did some research on it, and although Sudafed contains pseudoephedrine, the ammount needed to get "high" of it would be about 8 pills, which is enough sudafed to put you in the hospital. I have no doubt that people are taking it thinking that the pseudoephedrine will give them a "pick me up", but with the dosage thats in each pill it would be completly psychological.

The only way that taking that would actually work is if the pills were soaked in denatured alcohol, filtered, boiled, dried, mixed, frozen, boiled again, and dried once more - that would give you pure pseudoephedrine and you be able to either a) take just that and get high without putting yourself in the hospital from OD'ing on sudafed, or b) make crystal meth.

Josh, did you go to college to be a doctor? I don't think you did so how can you say that its not a chemical imbalance? And from your statements that you've made, I don't think you have add or adhd either. So how would you know how they work? I have adhd. I've had it all my life. I've taken ritalin and adderall for most of my life. In a normal person that doesn't have add or adhd, they can get high because its just like taking speed. If a person who has add or adhd is taking it, it calms them down and makes them concentrate. And as far as saying that a person without add or adhd can't get high off of it, they can. My brother is a recovering addict. He would steal my meds so he could get high. So before you go off spouting that he's a freak case or lied, I suggest you do some research on the subject.

Show me documented proof that there is a chemical imbalance that causes ADHD not only in you, but in every case that has it. If you do a little research yourself, you'll find that yhe hypothetical disturbances of neurochemical function that are said to underlie "mental illness" are just that: hypothetical. No experiment has ever shown that anyone has an "imbalance" of any neurotransmitters or any other brain chemicals. Nor could any conceivable experiment demonstrate the existence of a "chemical imbalance," simply because no one, least of all the biopsychiatrists, has the slightest idea what a proper and healthy chemical "balance" would look like.

You fill find that with a proper CT Scan that the frontal lobe region of the brain is slightly smaller in people with ADD/ADHD. You will also find that the total brain mass is 5% smaller than people without this disease, which as I said before has nothing to do with chemicals, as its directly related to the physical size. This is also if you believe that ADD/ADHD/AADD is a real disease. I'll leave my opinion's out of this, because as it is, all you will believe is fact.

Have I gone to college to be a doctor? No. Have you gone to college for anything where you can challenge my itelligence? I don't feel the need to justify my credentials again, but I can guarantee I have more than ample, more than the norm, and more knowledge than you about drugs, the human body, and biochemistry. Whether or not your brother was getting high is debatable, but I can see how he could have gotten addicted to the amphetamine.

Lastly, you said that I was spouting all of this out without having done research, right? The one case study with you and your brother does not count as research, try reading a book or something. I have read many, talked to many doctors, even took an internship at a hospital when I finished my paramedic training. Not to mention what I do now as a cop. If you have read any of my replies, you should know that none of this is opinion, it's all fact, as with most of my replies, you are going to get nothing but the truth. I hope I managed to grasp your attention long enough to help you better understand your problem.
