Another School shooting.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23171567/
When is this **** going to end? You would think after the first time this happened they would have more stict secuirty at schools. I know my high school I went to is now equipted with metal detectors and security at each entrance. I dont see why everyone wouldnt adapt that standard.

Its just a security messure, It would makes the students and thier family feel more secure about thier surroundings if they knew they were protected. If not they need to start looking into questionable indviduals more to get them the help they need before they loose it and do something like that. It just seems to be getting out of hand to me.

I agree with paul. I always worry about it at my school.. Seriously, theres like 0 security there. I wouldnt mind hitting a metal detector on the way in.
But yeah, thats so ******. I dont get why people do this ****. Its just dumb.

Either mandatory metal detectors or I'm also for concealed weapons on campuses.... if treated right.
I read this thing that 30 of the 32 people who died at VT died after the cops got there. Say a competent concealed weapons holder had his concealed pistol. Its not unarmed innocent students vs a fully armed murderer.... its 1 murderer vs licensed marksmen. I'd feel more safe. But I know the argument for the other side... I can see many people would feel less safe. Anyway, interesting website, check it out: www.concealedcampus.com

holy *****, that was insane. about 2 hours of rumors and BS seemed to happen in like 15 minutes. the first 20 minutes were intense tho.
my buddy called my roommate and said something about a shooting in cole hall, we were like o dude thats BS, you woulda heard gunshots and police and ambulances would be everywhere. he said girls were screaming and people were running everywhere, and he was walking by the building on his way to another class.
my roommate and i are looking out the window at a main intersection towards the building that got shotup, theres 2 buildings in the way tho so we cant see much except the bigass intersection right outside.
not 45 seconds after i said there would be more chaos, an ambulance comes flying by, then about a minute after that, the place was FILLED with emergency vehicles. around 40 ambulances came total, FBI and ATF are getting involved too.
we had a police scanner within 3 minutes of hearing about all this, heard 5 people were shot, then about 5 minutes later we heard a "male with sever head wound and visible brain matter"
we pretty much all shuttered and called everyone we could. next like 2 hours, there was no phone service. i must have received about 15 txt messages and i couldnt reply or call anyone. only could answer phone calls and view incoming txt's.
everyone was just going crazy, i wanted to go check out the scene but obviously not a good idea not to mention that no one really confirmed the gunman was dead until about an hour after it all happened so they didnt want anyone going anywhere.
multiple people who were shot also ran different directions which took the police a while to round up victims. one guy ran from the building to a dorm room abuot 100 yards away with a gunshot to the leg.
it's weird to hear the tons of different stories of where everyone was and what they were doing, and then the people who have a friend who was there and this and that happened.
a friend of a friend of mine was sitting next to a kid who took 2 shots,
and the same buddy and his g/f are friends with a girl who was sitting behind a kid that got his head blown off, she became a mess i heard.
theres tons of rumors and stories going around.
just glad to say that, SO FAR, i dont know anyone who was involved.

this is what happens when people who should be in treatment (and were until about 15 years ago) are thrown into the world. Until the US wakes up to the fact that we are being too soft, and letting people go free because "they do well when on their meds" and then not take meds since they have no one to make them, then we will see this type of thing more often
