ATV enthusiasts need opinions

I am looking at buying a Sport quad soon and I have narrowed it down to two quads.

2008 Honda TRX400EX
2008 Suzuki Quadsport Z400

Any input good/bad is appreciated. I am buying this for general trail riding and screwin around with my buddies.

the honda is well built, but from my experience gets stuck fairly easy compared to other brands

410 pounds is heavy?

The main difference i see with these quads is the ground clearance.

The honda is around 4''
the suzuki is 10''

it's 410 with no plastic, fuel, oil or rider (my nephew has one and it squats his truck big time and it's a 4x4)

I use to have a 400ex around when I was 16. It was fun, I drove a few z400's also.
I would rather the z400 to me its more comfortable to ride, the 400ex feels bulky and wide while your on it. The z400 feels more sporty and comfortable to ride on. As for performance they are pretty much the same, never jumped a Z but from what I seen they look like they handle the bumps better with the stock suspension.

What do you plan on doing with it? What kind of riding?

the honda website says the 410 is loaded with fluids and ready to run....im just tryin to get a straight up view here.

I am going to go sit on both the honda and the suzuki tomorrow after work, and see how they feel, i guess that is the real test

Ohh didn't see that my bad, But either one would do fine for that. But I think you would be happier with the z400. Its more comfortable and better on trails with the more ground clearance. Plus they are a lot of fun to drive. They are quick, my 400ex toped out at 65mph on pavement. Thats more that enough for on trails and such. Wish I still had one, I had a lot of fun with it. Plus if you get the mod bug with it there is a lot you could do with it.
